A Danish Village in Southern California

Perfect weekend getaway and pretty affordable as well. The place is small enough to where you can walk everywhere so there’s no need to rent a car or even use your car if you drive there. All the hotels we saw are very cute. We stayed at “Wine Valley Inn” and I definitely recommend it. Solvang is perfect for a 3-day trip. Here are a few of my favorite pictures!

Around the town

You can easily spend a lot of money here though. Tons of shops, restaurants, and snacks everywhere you go. So if you’re trying to travel on a budget…you’ve been warned. Solvang is definitely a cute town so spending your time exploring and taking pictures can make it a lot fun.

The Ostrich Land

We were leaving the town to head back home we spotted this funny “Ostrichland USA” sign. You can donate a small fee and feed the Ostriches. The area where they roam is huge so they have plenty of space to run around at full speed. It wasn't packed at all and everyone was really nice. I've never seen an Ostrich so close so this was a fun experience. They get REALLY close.
