Day Trip to Sleepy Mountain Town of McCloud
If you're into gloomy ghost-like towns, McCloud California is a great place to check out! You can check out the whole town in less than a day. I definitely see this place being a cool photo or video shoot location. There are some really cool abandoned houses and barns. You can see the mountain from the fire station which looks awesome!
AROUND THE TOWN
There's an old and abandoned train car with the towns name on it which seems to have some furniture and random things inside. I peeked inside and saw a few things but I couldn’t tell if someone was living there. I was roaming alone so I didn't want to go inside and disturb.
The town park has picnic tables on circular concrete blocks, old houses that have so much potential to be even more beautiful again, and the beautiful old sings around the wooden doors in each corner. I just can’t express how much I loved the gloomy feel of the city.
