Hiking The Devil's Bridge in Sedona Arizona

I was on a solo road trip down to Tejas from California and I stopped in Arizona to see my best friend, Celia. We really didn’t plan to go to Sedona, we just wanted to go hiking somewhere with snow, and I’m forever grateful that we decided to opt for this area. This was such an unforgettable experience, and I recommend it to everyone. However, be aware that you need to have both time and patience for this hike.

Start the day with breakfast at The Pump House.

I had my doggy on this road trip and dropped him off at a doggy spa and the owner recommended we check out The Pump House. The food there was delicious! The restaurant encourages community-style eating which worked out because we got to talk to a few nice people who were also exploring in their RV. It’s always so much fun to talk to other travelers who are also on their own adventures! It certainly adds to the travel experience when you can share parts of your journey with others.

Headed to The Devil’s Bridge

After we had our brunch we started our search for The Devil’s Bridge. The hike in total was about 5 hours. So, if you’re planning to go make sure that you take plenty of water, good shoes, and pack light. It was completely worth it! We climbed, laughed, built up a sweat but at the same time we got really cold because the higher up we got on the mountain, the more it snowed! Wear layers and you’ll be fine.

The views were remarkable, and there were so many beautiful, breath-taking photo spots as we climbed up.

And then, we came upon the devil’s bridge. Be prepared to climb up a little bit! It was extremely windy. I kept picturing the wind being so strong that I would lose my balance, slip-on snow, and well… down I go! But obviously, I survived!

What a beautiful experience.

I can definitely say that this was one of the most beautiful hikes I’ve done to date. The views, the fresh air, the moments of silence to take it all in. It truly was a majestic experience. Scroll down to see some of the views I came by.
